Day-3 May 7, 2012 Monday 6:30 p.m.
I was to early saying we were close, it's 6:30 and we are waiting for a barge at lock #12. We have been waiting for 1 hour, we anticipate arriving to the marina in Savanna IL at 8:00 p.m.
The main control panel, the GPS in the center has the river map on it, it shows us traveling at 17 miles per hour average, at 3,800 RPM. We have been averaging 3 1/2 miles per gallon.
This is our captain, a rare moment, he does not leave the helm often, we beg to pilot the ship.
A rare moment to drive. Notice this is day three and we all are waring the same clothes, we are men what do you expect? Why did I pack 10 pairs of underwear?
Seeing the water in the background, it appears to be quite calm. Nice to Willie resting.
