Day 4 May 8, 2012 Tuesday 6:50AM

We got up at 5:45 this morning found a shower and I feel like a new man. The mens shower was closed for painting so I was happy none of the women were up this early, we had to wait for the marina to open at 7:00 to fill up and pay our bill.
Yesterday was as perfect a day for boating we covered 160 miles. The weather was ideal and the water was flat as glass. We made it to our marina last night at 8:15 p.m. sat around and enjoyed the evening. There was a Pamida store close by so Doug and Willis picked up some boating supplies I went to the store and picked up some groceries, we grabbed a subway and went back to the boat for the evening, the bar restaurant was a longer walk then we wanted. The gas is in the boat and were off by 7:20.

No shore power so I did this the old fashion way, on our Coleman stove.
 I need my morning coffee.
This is our home last night We hooked to the gas pump dock.
The marina was close to town so it worked out well, when we came home from shopping we
borrowed the shopping cart to bring our stuff to the boat. We felt like a group of homeless people.
Willis returned the cart this morning.
This is the sleeping area for Doug and me, he is on port side I sleep on starboard bench seat, Wills sleeps on the center bench seat. I have been sleeping good considering I use a CPAP machine. I pulled it out the other night plugged it in, put the hose on ready for bed and I realized I forgot my mask at home. I will be ok I just wake up a lot.

  2. Guys,

You are my heros. I plan to retrace your steps some day when I have a little more free time. I'm thinking a house boat or cabin cruiser might be a little more comfortable than a pontoon though! Do me a favor and make sure and post where you are and how many miles you went each day so I can follow along!

    Here is to smooth sailing!
