Day-8 May-12 Saturday 7:00 a.m.

These photos are from our journey to St. Louis, MO yesterday. The owner of the marina brought us 14 miles to the Toyota dealer in Alton, MO to rent a car. We drove 30 miles to downtown St. Louis. The car is parked in the ramp and we headed out on foot. A short stop at a restaurant downtown and had a little lunch prior to heading to the brewery.

A view of the city as we pulled into St. Louis at 10:30 30 a.m.
Several miles west of downtown is the Anhesuer Bush brewery. We debated taking a cab but agreement was made we needed the exercise. It was a lot further away then it looks. Doug was regretting the walk because he was wearing flip flops, a few blisters later.
We toured the horse barn, saw the Clydesdales. Doug is in front of one of the wagons.
After the tour they treat you to a few brews. We took a cab back to the stadium, no more walking.
The Budweiser bottling plant tour. It was an interesting tour watching the filling of beer bottles on their high speed filling lines.
The Bush Stadium was packed, they retired Tony La Russa's number. Our standing room tickets were $35.00 each It was a great night for a ball game.
